2025 Corvette ZUV: What Could a Corvette SUV Look Like – According to AI?
Here we go again. The same debate that raged when Porsche decided to save itself by sacrificing everything it stood for—or so the purists screamed—by building an SUV seems likely to erupt, as the evidence that Chevrolet will expand Corvette into a proper brand piles up.
Dec 7, 2022 – Alex Kierstein; MotorTrend
The Corvette is already semi-formally its own brand—Corvettes wear the crossed-flag emblem, not the Chevy bowtie, although there’s a bowtie incorporated in the red flag—so the real controversy centers around expanding the Corvette name to vehicles that aren’t two-door sports cars. And if we’re talking about a new bodystyle, there’s only one thing that makes sense: a crossover.

From the Driver’s Seat – October 2023
Halloween has passed. October is over. November has arrived and with it, the Winter Holiday Season is upon us. Even though we once again return to Standard Time in a few days, there will still be 24 hours in each and every day. Veterans Day is on the 11th. Thanks to all of our Veterans for their service to our country. Will Rogers said it best, ”We can’t all be heroes; someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.” Then on November 23 this year comes Thanksgiving, a day set aside for reuniting, sharing a meal, and giving thanks in America since 1621.
November in the Santa Clarita Valley Corvette Club is also a month when we not only meet together and socialize together, but also when we help give back to our community with another food drive at Sam’s Club to support the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. This month too, we are participating in a local toy drive with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Santa Clarita Valley Station. Help spread the joy this holiday season by donating a toy to those in need here in Santa Clarita on November 25 and spend some time at Sam’s on November 18 to help the food drive as well. November is also time to provide the Treasurer with your chosen amount of contribution for the Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative.
While our club is finally in good corporate standing with the State after some ups and downs, there is apparent confusion in our midst about how and why we operate. Well over forty years ago, our club founders organized as a mutual benefit nonprofit corporation in the best interest of the membership. Your board has confirmed that is the goal that still benefits all of us. We have by-laws that are available for all to read, and all should read and understand them. Members must be at least 21 years of age, adults. My hope is that as we continue moving forward we all act as adults and do nothing that will jeopardize this fine club for ourselves or future members. I am here to have fun as a Corvette owner, and nothing else. I ask that we all keep that as our focus.
November also offers us another excellent event put together by our Activities team. Our run to the Nethercutt Collection Museum in Sylmar is coming up on November 4. This terrific museum is right in our back yard and is fun no matter how many times you experience it. You can’t beat the Missouri BBQ afterwards at the Bear Pit. My mouth is already watering!
The Three Months at a Glance has lots more coming up. Be sure to keep a copy handy. It has answers to all of your questions about upcoming runs and events.
Also, here in your Corvette Gazette every month you have contact information for each of your board officers and me. The page is not just filler for the newsletter. If you have a question or concern about an issue with the club, you don’t have to wait until the next general meeting. Phone, text, or email your board members and let us know about your issue.
I’ll be seeing you in November. Along with the many thanks you offer up, I hope that being thankful for the SCVCC is included.
Save the Wave
Mike
