From the Driver’s Seat – June 2025

First of all, as your New President I want to thank everyone who had the confidence in Me to Vote me in as President. I hope I can make the SCVCC a place of envy by other Clubs by having events the Club enjoys and talks about having a good time, maybe even a learning experience. I want People in the Club to enjoy Driving their Corvette and showing it off to others. I want Club Members to enjoy coming to meetings and mingling with other
Club Members.

I do need Club Members input to make this happen. If you have a suggestion for a destination drive or something to do, please let me or a Board member know. Your suggestion will be looked at seriously, I promise.

The month of June opened up with the Monterey Car Show. Several members went and enjoyed the Hospitality the Monterey Club put on. Dinners, Car Show, Driving on the Laguna Seca Raceway and Pebble Beach drive.

Then several members met at Route 66 Diner for a meal and conversation. This is a once-a-month event (second Friday of the month) that a lot Club members seem to enjoy. I personally look forward to it every month. If you haven’t given it a try please do so.

The last event of June was the Annual Picnic. This event was held at the Tesoro Adobe Historic Park with 50
Club members in attendance. Club members brought delicious homemade food and Bob Haas barbequed Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Chicken. The Corvette Race game was popular with some big losers and Winners. No names mentioned.

In closing, again, I want to thank you for your support and will try my best to be a Good President and Ambassador for the Club.

Regards,

Al Aird
President SCVCC
