2025 Corvette ZUV: What Could a Corvette SUV Look Like – According to AI?
Here we go again. The same debate that raged when Porsche decided to save itself by sacrificing everything it stood for—or so the purists screamed—by building an SUV seems likely to erupt, as the evidence that Chevrolet will expand Corvette into a proper brand piles up.
Dec 7, 2022 – Alex Kierstein; MotorTrend
The Corvette is already semi-formally its own brand—Corvettes wear the crossed-flag emblem, not the Chevy bowtie, although there’s a bowtie incorporated in the red flag—so the real controversy centers around expanding the Corvette name to vehicles that aren’t two-door sports cars. And if we’re talking about a new bodystyle, there’s only one thing that makes sense: a crossover.

Now is the time for you to step up and use your talent and skill to take part in our leadership. In May, our annual election process takes place again and all positions on the board of directors are open.
From President to Newsletter, Secretary to Quartermaster. Every position needs one of you to step up and fill the board officer positions for the 2024 – 2025 Club Year. Your commitment for the next twelve months is vital to the continuation of this great club into our 47th year. Your fresh ideas will go far to maintaining the spirit of our club. If you have not yet submitted your name for inclusion on the ballot, do it now. Let the board know of your desire to serve for 12 months and make a difference with our club.
Our current club year is drawing to a close and it is also that time to renew your membership for the 2024 – 2025 Club Year. Dues are once again $100 per person and are due by June 30, 2024 to remain in good standing. Please consider renewing early to avoid the nagging reminder from your President. To assure all of your information is current, I ask all to include a new membership application when you renew for the coming year.
April was a fun month for us. After another fun meeting at Santa Clarita Lanes, we had an especially great turnout at our first of many Cruise Nights at Route 66 Classic Grill on the second Friday. Let’s keep it up in May. The weekend get-away to Cambria was delightful for all who attended. The Central Coast was in bloom and the weather was perfect. Accommodations were comfortable. Dining was delicious. And our Corvettes brought it all together. Thanks go to our organizers Bob Haas and Marcia Stern for organizing the special weekend event! Taste of the Town at Maria Bonita’s was additionally a pleasure with a great turnout by members. I look forward to seeing even more in May when we get together at Lazy Dog in the mall.
We will be changing up some of the annual picnic arrangements in June and I ask all to pitch in to help make our event at Steckle Park a success in 2024. The picnic will require everyone to take part in making it happen. Don’t be bashful when it is time to help with our picnic this year.
July will be here before you know it and with that, our Santa Clarita July Fourth Parade. Start planning to be part of the parade this year. Our club is always recognized as the best car club in the SCV. Join the fun this year, and do it with your renewed membership for 2024 – 2025!
