2025 Corvette ZUV: What Could a Corvette SUV Look Like – According to AI?
Here we go again. The same debate that raged when Porsche decided to save itself by sacrificing everything it stood for—or so the purists screamed—by building an SUV seems likely to erupt, as the evidence that Chevrolet will expand Corvette into a proper brand piles up.
Dec 7, 2022 – Alex Kierstein; MotorTrend
The Corvette is already semi-formally its own brand—Corvettes wear the crossed-flag emblem, not the Chevy bowtie, although there’s a bowtie incorporated in the red flag—so the real controversy centers around expanding the Corvette name to vehicles that aren’t two-door sports cars. And if we’re talking about a new bodystyle, there’s only one thing that makes sense: a crossover.

SCVCC Feature Story

From the Driver’s Seat – December 2023
What a year 2023 was. Our ever faithful Newsletter Editor Scott Gregory recaps the year better than I ever could on his Editor’s Page at the end of this edition. The only thing I might add is that this year, the SCVCC will go into its 46th year and with 2024 beginning, our club is better than at this time 365 days ago. I thank you all for helping this be possible by your continuing membership and support.
December and the Holiday season has come and gone. It is a time for celebrating and then a time for looking forward to a new year. We always hope for a better new year and with your help our SCVCC will make even more improvements in 2024.
Our membership is strong with many new members added in the past year and room for a few more regular members. Santa Clarita Lanes graciously allows us a great meeting location. And we have our Corvettes. I think that all adds up to things looking pretty good.
We had an excellent Christmas party at Knollwood Country Club. Check it out in the following pages. With that, the clock is already ticking for our 2024 Christmas Party. The event is for all members, and it is already time for us all to be thinking about our next party. Where, when, what and how all have to be addressed now. We need an Activities Chair NOW to assemble a Christmas Party team to make our 2024 party a success too. We have nearly 100 members to make this happen, so let’s do it.
Activities are the fun part of our club and in the December meeting Joyce Kearin spoke of a joint-club event for February, a Petersen Automotive Museum run for February. Sign-ups are now. Then the following months are still without planned activities. The possibilities are many, so folks, once again, I say let’s do it. Anyone of you can put together and even lead an event. Our Activities Chair position needs to be filled to coordinate and oversee the many event ideas I hope to see pouring in!
With the new year here now, it is only a short time until we again hold elections for Board Director positions. With that, my hope is that in our membership there will be some that will step forward this year to fill positions on our Board. Having served as your SCVCC President for nearly six years at the end this term, it is my decision to pass the gavel to one of you. The question is, who among you will step up? It is time to consider what each of you is willing to do for the SCVCC. Let’s do it!
My hopes and best wishes go out to all of our membership for a Happy New Year, 2024.
Mike
